Handcrafted Journal - Art Block tea dyed, eco print teal bead bookmark
This one-of-a-kind book is filled with hand torn to size, tea dyed paper with natural botanical impressions made by a special ecoprinting process.
Unique designs inside the book are created using the method of ecoprinting. The process uses the natural impressions of botanicals by utilizing the tannin reaction with the tea dyed papers. It's a mix of chemistry and magic to see the pages come alive with soft markings. Botanicals included, but not limited to, in this book are marigold petals, Mexican petunia, tea leaves and blue mist.
Covers are hand created with the same process as the inside papers, must remain in a tight book press for at least 24 hours and are left unsealed so the new owner can add their own embellishments to the leaf impressions. This book also includes watercolor and Japanese paper embellishments on the front and back cover. Coptic binding is used to bring the pages together and two built-in bookmarks are threaded and adorned for a finishing touch.
Book size: Art Block (approx. 4"x4") Botanical, modified ecoprint books on thick 160 pound drawing paper
